  1. Stay Organized

The more organized you are, the more efficient you become. Powerful women always keep their work area neat and tidy and maintain a daily planner religiously. Keep a to-do list handy and prioritize your tasks, keep ticking off as the day passes. This will not only remind you of your appointments and important information but also make you feel accomplished by the end of the day. Set short goals throughout the month to achieve bigger goals.

  1. Follow your passion

Never stop believing in your dreams, come what may! Make this your life mantra. All the powerful people are there because they decided to do what they love the most. All the successful women didn’t let anyone tell them that their dreams were crazy. So stop seeking validation and just follow your dreams!

  1. Help others

If you look at powerful women who influenced the world, they are usually the ones who helped others. For instance, Michelle Obama works towards combating childhood obesity. Mother Teresa devoted her life selflessly to render services to the poor. There were some who became powerful and strong because they helped others selflessly. Neerja Bhanot is one such example who saved 360 lives on a hijacked plane (except her own).

4. Be grateful

There is always someone who has it better than us and someone who has it worse. Regardless of what we want to achieve, we should be thankful for what we have achieved so far. We often forget to thank people who support us and help us every day in making us who we are today. According to a research, people who said “thank you” in the first 30 minutes of their morning to at least one person had a more positive outlook to the rest of their interactions throughout the day. “Be grateful for what you have now. As you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for. You have to make a start, and then the law of attraction will receive those grateful thoughts and give you more just like them.”, quoted Rhonda Byrne, Author of The Secret and other inspirational books.

  1. Be Aware of Body Language

It is through our body language that people subconsciously judge us. We can change their perspective by giving out the right body posture. Powerful women master this art by following a daily routine of workout in the form of yoga, pilate, brisk walk, etc. Powerful women always appear uber-confident even if they are not just because of the right body language. Also, good fashion sense and dressing makes a strong first impression. So, wear the right jewelry and clothes the next time you move out!
