Home- remedies aka Gharelu Nuskhe
You can include ginger, garlic and turmeric in your diet. The food items that are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and prevent/heal from infections. Stay hydrated!
Drink lots and lots of water; say about, 8-10 glasses per day. In winters, we don’t feel thirsty often and, therefore, get dehydrated. Increase your fluid intake by having hot soups or green tea, jasmine tea or having vegetable juices that are readily available everywhere.

Silver, not just bling!
Silver is not only meant to make you shine this winter, but it is also an essential mineral that helps in improving immunity. In earlier times, the kings used to eat in silverware not just to show flamboyance and opulence but it also had scientific reasons behind it. Drinking or eating in silverware helps in fighting bacterial and viral infections. You don’t have to spend a lot in buying silverware; you can just dip silver coins in the water and drink from it.

Viruses stay long on the surface of your hands during cold or flu season. You should keep washing your hands with soap and water. You should rub your hands from back, between the fingers and nails for at least twenty seconds. You can also use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if you feel too cold to put your hands inside water.

Avoid being in touch (literally!) with people who are already sick. Stay away from not just colleagues or strangers but also your loved ones. Avoid shaking hands with people as you can come in contact with germs. In case you have a cold or a cough, do people a favour by sneezing in elbow instead of your hands.
