Celebrity Diwali Dressing
It surely was a star studded Diwali in Bollywood town, this year. With two big bashes, Amitabh’s and Aamir’s, we all surely have had a treat for the eyes when we saw all the celebs decked up for these festivities. Diwali is the time of the year, when people meet their friends and family to greet each other wishes and spend some quality time. People usually wear new clothes on this day and look their best, and when it comes to our B-town we can expect to see some glitter and dazzling appearances. And this time it was no different, we totally loved what we saw and that is what we bring to you. Here are our some of the celeb looks from the Diwali parties. Enjoy!
Amrita Arora
A strapless sequins blouse with a brown-copper sari, Amrita, looked quite different from most of the party guests and we really liked her get up. Those statement earrings completed the look; a necklace might have created a bit of chaos, so we would say... Good move Amrita! The hair, The Clutch, The Bangles, looked just right.
Anushka Sharma
The young diva, dressed up in the right mix of quirky and traditional. Black sari with splashes of neon colours and gota pati work, a plain black clutch, matching danglers looked pretty, we just wish she would have kept her fringe on, or may be messy braid would have looked better than the boring chignon.
Bipasha Basu
She looked magnificent in a sheer violet sari with floral silver work and a pink blouse. The sheer sari looked sensual, of course, but it was made even more so by her toned up body beneath it. Bipasha seemed to have followed the simplicity mantra, with the straight open hair and no jewellery, no accessory look. We feel a little necklace would have looked nice with the get up.
Avantika Malik
Imran Khan’s better half, Avantika looked charming in a printed monochrome sari by Payal Singhal which she wore with a full sleeve long black blouse. Her Leiber clutch, large dangle earrings, a side swept braid adorned with fresh jasmine flowers, a neon pink bindi and bright pink lips, gave a uber glam accent to her look.
Jaya Bachchan
Jaya Bachchan looked elegant in her subtle gold sari, with some glittering gold border. She accessorized herself with diamond bangles, bali earrings and ring with emerald stone. We loved her elusive and elegant style.
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam looked splendid in her gold and black lehnga kurta dress, black potli bag, kundan earrings and bangles and maang tika. Not that we ever doubted her sartorial sense and we never ever will, and this one look has for sure made its place in our favorites list.
Priyanka Chopra
Our very own Desi Girl, could have done much better than this. We are not a big fan of busy sarees like this. The clutch just gets lost in the sari somewhere; and we do see a hint of dangler earrings there. May be we were expecting some skin show from the girl with the golden body.
Vidya Balan
The Dirty Picture star was spotted in her all-time favorite colour red but this time in a salwar kameez instead of a sari, for which the hemline was embellished with gold floral embroidery. She dazzled up her accessories by opting for gold heels, a gold bracelet and gold ethnic danglers to her complete her ensemble.
