It was Deepika's Night at 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2014
The year 2013 seemed to be an year that will be remembered for Deepika Padukone.

The Golden Girl who won the 'Black Lady'[/caption]It is so because in this year she has become the first and the only female star with FOUR Rs 100 crore films last year. (Something that even the Khans, Kumars and Khanna have failed to do so far!)So, even at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards Deepika Padukone bagged best actress award for her role in Ram-Leela.

This is not the only best actress award she has won this year, in fact it is the third. She has already won the Best Actress Award at Life Ok Screen Awards and Star Guild Awards. Though she won it for Ramleela, she was nominated for two movies - Chennai Express and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. However, it was not an easy win, she had a lot of competition from other contenders. Other nominees in the same category were Sonakshi Sinha for Lootera, Parineeti Chopra for Shuddh Desi Romance, Shraddha Kapoor for Aashiqui 2, and Sonam Kapoor for Raanjhanaa.
Undoubtedly she won as this vivacious lady had a powerful screen presence in this movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Recently, Salman Khan had quipped that if Deepika were cast in a documentary film, the film would still do a business of Rs 200 crore! We think that's an amazing compliment though Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone are yet to share screen space.
Moving back to the Filmfare awards biopic 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' based on legendary athlete Milkha Singh was another big winner on Friday night. It won the award for the best film, best director and best actor. The music of Ashiqui two was adjudged the winner for the best music award.
Dhanush, the southern superstar won the Best Debut (male ) award for his performance in 'Raanjhanaa' while in the category of the Best Debut (female) Vani Kapoor won the award for her performance in 'Shuddh Desi Romance'.

In the end we would just like to add that a few stars were not seen at the big night but the still the award ceremony dazzled with spectacular performances Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit and it was proved beyond doubt that why, Filmfare is considered to be at the most awaited award ceremony of the season.
